Just for fun Pictures!
This week we had a great time relaxing and even got to have the pleasure of an adult night at home with Lisa and Phil while Grandma Carla watched the kiddies! Dont worry...the cigars for Lisa and I were only for show....YUCK! We also spent the next day going to the park with the kids and the girls enjoyed being able to spend time together. It feels like forever since we have been able to pull off what seemed like a "weekend".
Backyard Pictures
Snake Phil caught by the dock
For Christmas Travis bought me a new camera that has a cool super up close feature that will allow you to get right up on something and it will auto focus for you. I've been having a great time going around trying to see what kind of pics I can get with it. Here are just a few.

Broken Wrist
Friday Madison's school called and said I needed to come pick her up because she jumped off the slide at school and landed on her arm and it "did not look right". I went and got her and long story short she is now in a cast with a hair line fracture of the wrist. At first she thought having a cast was cool but now every five minutes she is asking me to take it off.

Santa Claus
Tonight we took Madison to the mall to see Santa. She has been telling us that she was a big girl now and needed to sit in Santa's lap. She was a little hesitant at first but quickly warmed up to him. She even wanted to go back a second time to give him a high five. Santa gave her a puzzle with his picture on it as a prize. After she was able to play inside the snow globe.

Here are some pictures I took in the back yard this morning. This tree is now in full bloom and looks beautiful!
Madison's Fish
Madison and Travis went fishing on the dock again this morning and they caught another fish. We are not sure what kind it is but they had a great time.

Nature walk
Today Madi and I met the Bilbao's at the park and went on a nature walk and let the kids play on play ground. On our way there we saw 3 deer on the side of the road about 3/4 of a mile from our house. At the park we saw alligators, birds, fish, butterflies and a skunk. One cool thing was a red maple tree coming out of the water. Madi had a blast and cant stop talking about the day. I tried to get good pictures of the butterflies we saw because they were being very cooperative but in true digital camera fashion....my batteries died after one shot that was not good. So...if anyone would like to check our Lisa's blog, she got some awesome shots.

Weekend of Fun!
Mom and Mark cam eback this weekend for a final drop off and decorating kick before the holidays. Mom again was a great treasure hunter and found and awesome hand carved sail fish for the living room. Travis cant stop staring at it saying "I love that fish"....too cute. She also found a shelf, hall table and mirror and an end table. She also found the light fixture in the picture with the table.
We had fun figuring out how to get the table and mirror painted the right shade of red. I think the Sangria Mark made for us to drink while doing it helped out for inspiration! For the first time we also left the house and the three girls headed south for a trip to the new IKEA store that just opened and the boys went and played golf. It was an awesome weekend!
Trick or Treat
Dorothy
We had a great time trick or treating in our new neighborhood Halloween night. We went around for about two hours with our neighbors who have a 3 and 5 year old. Madison got a full bucket of candy and loved handing out candy to the people who came to the house.

Madi's school Harvest Party
Today was the Halloween Harvest Party at Madi's school. Madison had to be an animal from Noah's Arc so her and Destiny Lee went as bunny rabbits. They played games and got lots of candy. Tonight we will attempt to head out in the new neighborhood to trick or treat but Tropical Storm Noel is dumping some rain on us as I am writing this! If tonight is a go...there will be more to come. The wind is working on in our favor since Madi is Dorothy from Wizard of Oz! It fits the part....

Pumpkin Carving
Tonight we carved our pumpkin. Madison picked out a witch head and a bat on the computer that she wanted us to carve. Travis picked out a rams head and I carved that on the back side. Finally, Madison gave her finishinhg touches and put her new Halloween stickers on it. We had a great time getting messy in the pumpkin goo...
