Saturday at the Beach

Saturday was the best beach day so far this season! The ocean was like a lake and the kids took full advantage of it. Poor Madi had an acid treatment on her thumbs the day before so Travis invented her thumb proctors from the pinky's of his work gloves and some medical tape. They worked out great and she was good about going to him if they were falling off. We spent about 5 hours splashing around and searching for shells. We actually found several conch shells and others that you dont ever see on the east coast here.

Nature Walk

Today we went with our friends on a nature walk. We got there early and it was already too hot!!! The kids had a good time on thier "Nature Hunt" looking for animals. They saw plenty of butterflies, lady bugs and bees. I think one snake was spotted but quickly hid in the bushes. I had enough good luck to have every huge buzzing creature dive bomb my head and chase me!! What can I say...they love sweet things! =)

Madi's new curtains

Grammy made Madi some of the best curtains ever!!! We hung them on Friday in her room and she cant stop talking about them. Every time she goes in there she points and says "my Grammy made that for me".

Lion Country Safari

We went and took Madi and DL to Lion Country Safari. Both of them had a great time driving through the Safari, playing in the water park and riding rides and feeding giraffes.

The Kane's

As you all are now aware the "Kanes" are now back together. Things are going great and we all could not be happier. Sometimes we dont understand life....but what we have come to understand is there is a plan for us all. Sometimes we get to where we need to be in a short amount of time with little obstacles and sometimes it takes longer to where we ARE supposed to be with many.

Our Easter Day!

Today Madi and I spent the day with our friends. It all started with an Easter Egg Hunt at a park next to Dads station so he could come. The kids had a great time and Madi had a blast flying the new kite she got from the Easter Bunny (Auntie Mar) with dad and the boys!! We went back to Lisa's house and had Easter dinner. The entire day was a blast but im glad its over.... Mom's POOPED!

Work Picnic

My work Picnic was Saturday at a local park. The gang and I went and fun was had by all. The Easter Bunny was there and as soon as Madi saw him she freaked! He kept trying to come over to her but she was having no part of it. She tackled everything but the rock climbing wall and got stuck at the top of the bounce house "rock wall". The man had to go in and help her over. After we came back to our house for a water balloon fight. Madi and Destiny Lee did not like getting wet.

Uncle Matt

Madison finally got to meet her Uncle Matt this weekend. She was a little hesitant at first but quickly warmed up to him. After that....she was all over him and would not leave him alone. She was still mezmorized by the fact that he was my "brodder" and he was Marks "son". We are still trying to clarify that one....
