Last night we had the gang over originally for a pool get together, but unfortunatly mother nature had different plans for us. The kids had a good time goofing off playing dress up and singing to us the songs they have learned at school.

Wannado City

Thursday afternoon we took Madi to Wannado City. For those of you who have never heard of it, its where a "kid can do what they wanna do".... Pretty much they can go from place to place and work any job they want earning money. Madi worked in the Wonka factory making a wonka bar, she worked as a nurse in the nursery, a paleontologist, a super model, a jewelry maker and in the beauty shop. We were in line for her to be a fire fighter and a airplane pilot but as she put it "they are taking too long". It was a long day but she had a blast!!!

This morning we woke up bright and early and went to our second excavation hoping to find a baby alive. Today they found one live turtle still in the nest and the girls named him "Charlie". He was a very active little guy and quickly made his way to the ocean. Both of them got to help the lady count all the hatched and unhatched shells and then bury them in the nest. We had a total of 141. They learned a lot about how the turtles lay their eggs and even saw their belly buttons. Both were very proud of themselves for saving baby Charlie.

Just Chillin Out!

Madi and Destiny Lee have been having a great time up at Grammy and Poppa's.
We spent our first afternoon at the pool and then went to a turtle excavation in the evening. Unfortunatly, there were no babies left in the nest we went to.

Golf Outting

Travis and I used our weekend alone and went to play golf together for the first time. We had a great time despite the awful heat!! He was a good teacher but Travis still won...but.... I did win on 2 holes...shhhh
We will definitely be taking Madi with us when she comes back. We both agree she would have a blast!!
