Tonight we carved our pumpkin. Madison picked out a witch head and a bat on the computer that she wanted us to carve. Travis picked out a rams head and I carved that on the back side. Finally, Madison gave her finishinhg touches and put her new Halloween stickers on it. We had a great time getting messy in the pumpkin goo...
Yesterday we celebrated Micah's birthday at our house. All the kids had so much fun palying in the sprinkler flamingo and having water balloon fights. Some of the balloons were filled with shaving cream to add extra suprise! We had workers in the front yard clearing one of the beds and Phil found a snake and caught it to show the kids. Lisa was creative and made a 3 tier camo cake for Micah and was told that was "the coolest cake ever made"...just what every mother wants to hear!
This weekend we had Brandons biorthday party to go to and will celebrate Micah's this Sat. Madi got her hair curled for the first time and got dressed up in the cute jumper that Lisa got for her. We also made a gingerbread haunted house for decoration. Shrek stopped by the house to play with Madison too...
Sorry to those of you that have been requesting updated pictures but believe it or not the house is still a mess! The only times we really have to work on it is on the weekends. Once all is neat and clean I will take pictures of the rest.
It was another busy weekend and Mom and Mark came back to help out. You can see from the picture that the their car looked like the Grizwalds from the movie "Vacation". Mom has been quite the treasure hunter and found a great patio set and also chandelier that she has transformed into a BEAUTIFUL sea side piece of art! She took shells from the beach at her house and glued them to the entire surface of the chandelier. It is spectacular and many people were trying to convince her to keep it or give it to them before it made its way into our home. It will be loved and taken good care of. Also we worked hard at getting the window treatments done. Again, they turned out great! Just looking at them brings a smile to my face. Mom and I had quite the battle at TJ Max trying to get the place mats for the bedroom window treatments.
Grammy and Poppa bought Madison a bug catcher and she has been very busy trying to catch lizards around the yard and patio. To everyone's amazement...she caught one in her net all by herself and named him "Coco".
