Life Changing Realizations
I have been doing some soul searching with all that has gone on in my life in the past month. This picture I have grown to love and has made me realize a few things...
I have learned I need to be more patient...
I need to learn to not sweat the small stuff....
I want to not get angry over what is not in my control...
The love of a child is unending....
The freckle on Madi's face brings a smile to mine....
I need to be a better wife....
I long to be where family is....
I probably will not get to where I want to be in life but need to appreciate where I am now...
Everyday Madison inspires me to be a better person, wife and mother......
Happy Fathers Day!
Today was one of our best days we have had in a long time. Travis was treated to coffee and gifts in bed. Madison had made several things for him at school and could not wait to give them to him. Later, we packed up our bikes and fishing poles and headed out to Okeeheelee Park (Or as Madison calls it...Okeechobee) for a picnic lunch and to ride our bikes and do a little fishing. At first we had a rough start when Madison realized she was standing in a fire ant pile! I believe that scenario speaks for itself. After all parties were clam enough to get back to riding....Madison fell off her bike into yet another ant pile!!! For all of you who are around Madison...this probably does not surprise you! As our friend Phil always says...she is the luckiest..unluckiest person he knows!! Again...after much R&R, we decided it was best to move on in the other direction leaving all ant tragedies behind.
We fished for a little while but once Madi got her eyes on the paddle boats, we could not say no. OH!!! By the way...in looking closely at the picture of the two of them fishing above..I was hit with a realization...look at the bottom blown up picture of Madison's face. Yes, thats right...it is the concentration face of her father!!!! Travis does this look every time he needs to concentrate! SCARY!!!!!!!
Sorry, now back to the paddle boats. I have only a few words to describe my experience in paddling for an hour straight with a 4 year old steering and Travis fishing.....Fun, Burning in my thighs, Fun, hot sun on my face, Fun, frustrating....UNFORGETTABLE FUN!!! I would do it all again in a heartbeat!

A day at the water park
Today we spent the afternoon at a water park. Madison was hesitant at first to go on the diving board, but after she did it once...there was no stopping her! Travis was the dare devil and kept doing flips in the air! In between the water slides and the diving board we enjoyed relaxing trips on the lazy river.
The perfect catch!
Catching up....
