Still waiting.......

Well....another day and no baby. Again, I know I am still 2 weeks out but never reached this point with Madison. Very uncomfortable but realizing that as much as I say I need more patience....this is God's way of telling me to not rush things and take things as they come. Wish it was not coming in this form!

Last night contractions (or at least what I think were) came on very strong and frequent to the point I got scared and went to wake up Travis. Around 3 a.m again, they slowed down and I was able to rest. Off and on today but nothing like last night. We discussed this morning on how hard this is as we feel like it our first pregnancy. We had it so easy with Madi and the doctor just saying..."OK its time...you are 5 1/2 cm go to the hospital". I had no pain! As they all say...each is different! Madison had her last soccer game today and was so excited to get her first metal. Rose and Ashely came to watch and she did better today than she had done all season. The coach even teased her on why did she wait for the last game to go after and kick the ball! After the game we came home and all three of us took naps because of the rough night. We then took Madison to get some dresses (she has broken into a mood of not wanting to wear shorts but wants to be in a dress which we own only 1) and then took her to see Monsters vs. Aliens in 3D. We topped off the day with a dip in RoRo's pool. Refreshing for her and Travis and for my feet only :)

Jennifer next door has said she woke up in the middle of the night and said it came to her that Tuesday is the big day for baby Kane to make his grand arrival. In one way I hope she is right but in another he could wait until Grammy comes! She arrived in Maryland tonight and will be here Wednesday.

I will stop rambling now and go and finish up dinner. Stay tuned for any updates :)

Random pics...

Beauty shop

Today has been a lazy day at home in some ways. Travis worked on the yard today which had grown into a jungle with all the rain we have been getting. Madi and I had a "beauty shop" morning. I painted her nails and she asked for her hair to be curled. The dress she is wearing is a cover up that she tie died herself last weekend. She has had her suit on all day in hopes of going to Roro's house to swim but it has been too windy and cloudy and the water is only 77 degrees.
I think her and Travis are going to ride biles while I walk in a little while.

I walked again yesterday afternoon in hopes of moving baby Kane south. After the drama at the doctors yesterday and some pretty hard contractions we were hopeful that the time would be soon. Contractions slowed down and all bleeding has now stopped so again....we wait.

Our little TIGGER!!!

Some of you may know that we frequently call Madison Tigger because she is constantly bouncing.
Today at school I think she was in heaven....I just wish I had pictures to post with this. They did a hop-a-thon to raise money for muscular dystrophy. I was not surprised one bit when I arrived at the school to pick her up only to hear....MADISON WON THE HOP-A-THON! All I could do was laugh and tell them I was not surprised. She beat every kid in school hopping a total of 198 times. Second place coming in at 138 hops. The next thing I said was please tell me they did this after nap time.....:) (Just my luck.... it was in the morning...LOL)

Grandma in full bloom!!!

We have had so much rain in the past week. Despite the gloom....what beauty has bloomed! Last year was the first year my flowers from Grandmas yard ever bloomed. I got 1 flower. This year I have 7 blooms at one time!!! Everyone that sees them compliments us on them. I pull up and leave the house every day and smile thinking of Grandma and how much she would have enjoyed them :)

Week at a glance....

This week has been a good one. Tuesday Travis played for Madison's school. It gave me chills to watch how proud of her daddy she was. You could not wipe the smile off her face and her looks of such pride was overwhelming! She is his biggest fan! We also got to see the space shuttle Discovery take off again from the house. I was folding laundry and had forgotten about it and ran outside for one quick shot before it was too late. I also thought Wednesday was going to be the day. Tons of cramping and just not feeling good. So...off to the doctor I went and the news was the same with only one small change. 1/2 cm more dilated (1 1/2 total) and they said I was contracting but it could be the start or this could last for a while. I also officially start with reduced hours this coming week. After getting a lot of hassle from my boss I am working Mon-Wed in hopes to keep him cooking (this is bitter sweet) a little longer and to keep my blood pressure under control. This morning again for a while thought could it be the day but the contractions have slowed down. Friday Mom flies back into the country which I could not be more happy about! I always feel so much better when I know she is within reach! Who knows....if she is here she could get to witness the birth of her grandson! How cool would that be :))

St Patty's Parade

Gorgeous Darling!

Baby Kane needed antennas too... :)

He is the third back on the left in the green kilt

Again....third back in the green kilt behind the two red guys

So proud of her daddy!!!

Today Travis marched in his first parade as part of the pipes and drums team. His group was at the very start of the parade. All of them look alike that when he passed Jennifer and I could not find him!!! We were very disappointed. I snapped the pictures above as they went by but this is why I don't have a close up of him marching. After the passed I ran (waddled) down after them when I saw that they stopped and I found him! Ran (waddled) back to get the group and we were able to watch them for a few moments. Madison was so excited she was jumping up and down screaming "Hi Daddy"!!! We are very proud of him. Hate to admit it but he looked pretty hot in his outfit.....shhhhhh :)

We are back home now and waiting on him to come home so mommy and daddy can go on a date night. It is our anniversary today.
