Liam had his appt finally today. He said he puts murmurs into good and bad categories. From what he can hear, Liam's is in the "good" category if their is such a thing. He thinks it is PPS (pericardial pulmonary stenosis). Basically the heart pumps blood that goes to the lungs. The blood branches to the left and right. When the blood makes that turn, it rattles through the vessel because they are small. It will resolve on its own so there is no need to worry from what we are told. He did send us to the hospital to have an Echocardiogram and will call with the results in the morning. He wanted to do this to make sure what he hears on the outside is really what is going on in the inside. I will keep you all posted if anything changes.
I myself had my own cardiac scare yesterday afternoon. We had a nice morning with Lisa and Destiny Lee visiting (pictures will be posted later). After they left Madi and I laid down for a nap. Once I got up, I had some pain and I thought it was indigestion so I took two tums. Within 2 minutes I felt chest pain like I have never experienced and could not catch my breath. Madison got up Grammy. Long story short.....911 was called and I was brought to the hospital. After cardiac and blood clots were ruled out with several tests I was admitted for observation. What they think happened was my esophagus started to spasm. They said to imagine the pain you get if you swallow soda the wrong way in your chest and then times it by 10 and for it not to relieve on its own. All I can say was it was very scary and more painful to me than child birth! I guess this happens to some women as you "innards" start to readjust after birth. Leave it to me for it to happen to!!!

I love my Grammy....
Hi Everyone....it's me Liam! I wanted everyone to see how confortable my Grammy is. We have such a good time together. She loves me soooooo much and I love her too. We have such a good time together and we talk to each other all day long. She even likes to get up with me at night and change my stinky diapers. In the pictures that my mom put on I was busy loving on Grammy and even tried to eat her....who would have thought that she would not taste like formula??? I thought everything did. Got to go....sissy wants to play!

THREE WEEKS OLD TODAY!
Hard to believe three weeks have passed. The days fly by and each night Mom and I say to each other where did the day go?
Liam is doing great. I think we finally have the formula that we can stick with (Enfamil AR). He does great and we don't have the fussy baby we did have for a few days there. The belly button finally fell off this week, the peeling of his skin has stopped, he attended his first BBQ and had his first visit to Home Depot (Travis was very proud of that and Grammy got a pic on her camera....pic to follow).
Madison is still in love with "her baby" and we have only had to deal with sporadic bouts of being jealous this week.
The three adults are managing well. We have started our next project which should be done today...we now have red front doors! Goodbye ugly teal!!!! We have planned Madison's birthday and booked a weekend getaway for all of us the weekend of her birthday to Sea World instead of planning a b-day party. We are all very excited about this one!
Diva and Mr. Handsome!
Just some fun pics of the kiddies. Madi thought her hair was so funny after having braids in it all day she just had to throw on her nails and pose! The outfit Liam is in is compliments on Leslie, Josh and the gang in MD. They sent us this outfit after visiting Rome. I think he looks the part....don't you?

My mind is officially gone.....
SOUTH! I posted yesterday that Liam had a cardiologist appt today at 2. Well.....at 12:30 a.m. while in Liam's room feeding him I decided to look at the paper i wrote the appt down on. Guess what......today is not the 30th! It's next Thursday. At this point I felt stupid and had to call mom in the middle of the night so that she would not wake up at the crack of dawn to make it for the appt. Sorry mom! She left early anyway but I totally feel bad because when I called her at 7:30 she was sleeping at a rest stop.
I had discussed with Travis just two days ago that I needed to get a planner to keep track of all 4 of our appointments. Isn't it funny that when you add just one more person you can just loose it!
Just got a call back from the doctor about his feedings and reflux. We are told to yet change again to Enfamil AR. Liam...I promise we will get this thing right! he said it will be more work on us but we need to feed him only 2 to 3 oz every hour or two to see if this helps. For a boy who eats 4 oz every two to three hours this is going to be daunting!
Wish us luck!

2 week doctor appt update
Liam is now a whopping 9lbs 4 oz! He has gained two pounds in two weeks! The doctor was shocked and said it is rarely seen. We were not surprised with how much he is eating. They changed his formula to one with rice in it in hopes of having him last longer than 2 to 3 hours between feedings with the gas problems we have been having. We started it yesterday afternoon and it was either that or a really bad night but him and I were up all night! Wouldn't you know it was the night that Travis needed to sleep because he started back at work today :)
They also detected a heart murmur which I am told is common in infants. We go see the cardiologist tomorrow to have him evaluated. Mom comes back tomorrow which we are very excited about. Madison keeps asking when is Grammy coming back?

True love
Our little man is 2 weeks today!
Hard to believe that two weeks has passed since Liam came into our lives. This morning I took advantage of awake time and took some photos of the many faces of Liam. He is doing great despite some gas issues we have been working through the past two days. Tomorrow morning we have a doctors appointment for him where I am not sure if he gets shots or not. We are eager to see how much he weighs now since all he wants to do is eat! He is eating 4 oz every two to three hours. If he makes it to three hours...it is because we are holding him off with a paci. We can tell for sure that he is bigger than just a week ago. Every day he is more and more alert. Still......no real cry out of him yet...just a quick yelp and some grunting. I need to be careful what I ask for as I am sure it will come in time.

See what happens......
A new yard!!!
Travis and mom have been hard at work since we came home. Look at what a wonderful job they did! For those of you who have not seen our front yard, it has red mulch from the front of the bed above all the way up to the house and to the edge of the drive way. Travis ripped out all the mulch and the next day him and mom prepped the ground and layed new sod. What a difference! Our front yard has now doubled in size!

Happy Easter!
Yesterday was a great day. The Easter bunny visited and brought goodies for Madison and Liam. We had an Easter egg hunt spanning three houses for the kids on the street which was a success! Headed to Jennifers inlaws house for some pool time and then back for a wonderful Easter dinner prepared by mom. Liam did great again last night. 4 nights in a row with only 1 wake up to feed....again hoping it will last but enjoying it while it does!

Updates....
Shhhhhh.....
We have had a great few days. Liam I must say is a GREAT baby. Two nights in a row he has only woke up once in the middle of the night to eat. Not sure if this will continure but it has been good while it lasted! We took Madison to an Easter egg hunt at a church down the road today and she had a blast between that and the bounce houses. Liam got his first bath last night and he did not like it too much...ended with him peeing all over Mom :). He went to his first follow up Dr appt and he is now up to the heafty weight of 8 lbs!!!! He has gained 6 oz in two days!!! All in all things are well and we have no complaints!
