The daze of our lives....

Water slide at Meghan's b-day party
Love this smile
LOVE!
Baby Einstein
The days of our lives have been hectic since school started and I started work. My days and nights are spent in front of the computer working when I can, getting Madison to and from school and entertaining Liam. He has become infatuated with the baby Einstein movies,. he sits in his walker and is completely zoned out for the entire movie. It is actually the only time he sits still besides when he is sleeping which we all know is few and far between. Madi is doing great in school but did get her color moved to yellow Friday after speaking out the answer instead of raising her hand. Liam actually slept through the night last night. NO...we do not get our hopes up when he does this as it is usually only once a month that this happens. I enjoyed it as I got a head clod from the two kids and have not been able to breathe!!!

First day of PE

Madi had PE for the first time today for her "special". They have a different "special" each day of the week (PE, art, music etc.). I asked her how it was today and all she had to say was "When I looked at Coach Ross, I thought to myself.... this better not be a giraffe"!!! From what I have now learned....he is very tall :)

Liam too has made quite a mark on the school staff already. Rose watches him for me a few hours each morning so I can work and she brings him with her to the school while Ashley volunteer's. He has won the hearts of many. Weird when I bring him how many people walk up to me and say "you have the sweetest baby with a great laugh"!

Many of you ask on a weekly basis....

how our friend Tracy's baby is doing. It is with a broken heart that I let you all know he passed away this morning. He was a fighter and went through alot in his 1 month of life. He was doing great and weighed over 3 pounds and the doctors were talking with them about bringing him home in September. He took a sudden turn for the worse last night and could not pull out of it. He was in Tracy's arms holding her finger when he passed away.

I am conflicted.

One part of me thinks how lucky she was to have him for the last month and to be able to hold him during a time like this; but another does not seem to understand why someone would be put through a hurt this bad after trying so hard for a family.

Today life does not seem fair but we are appreciative for the blessings we are given no matter how brief.

Have I told you yet......

Liam is eating veggies? The top pics is the result of trying to feed him food instead of a bottle after a nap!

A great day fishing!

The boat
Our catch!
Me and my hubby!
Poppa and Poppi
My King Fish!
Sea Bass

Grouper
Lemon Shark

My grouper was 1/2 inch too short!! Needed to be 24 inches.
While in Fernandina we took a deep sea charter. The ocean was like a lake and it turned out to be a great time! 3 huge King fish (the biggest was 28 lbs...go Matt), a couple Grouper and a few sea bass. In addition to all the fish we caught several lemon sharks. I will try and post more later but it a busy day here. Madison starts Kindergarten tomorrow and I have more work to do tonight. I was up until after midnight working last night! To be continued.....

Our time is almost up

I will have to wait to post pictures once I get home but our time here in Amelia Island is almost up :( We arrived last Thursday with Grammy D and Poppi. They left Sunday along with Travis after we had an awesome time deep sea fishing, going to the beach and hanging out. The kids and I stayed and we have had a great time with Grammy and Poppa or as Madi now says...Gram and Pop. Sad to leave tomorrow morning but we all have to get back to reality! This morning Madi and I went to a third turtle excavation and we finally got babies!! 4 of them we helped release back to the ocean. Pictures of our week to come.....

Liam's 4 month appt

Today was his 4 month visit. He weighed in at 19lbs 8oz and was 26 1/4 inches long. In the 90th percentile for all. We are to start giving him rice cereal once a day for the next week and then start him on veggies! On a bad note for now....Liam should be sleeping through the night by now and Dr. Louis said that he is pulling one over on us by waking up at the exact same time each night to have a bottle. He said we now need to have him start to cry it out and DO NOT feed him at night or we will be in for him never sleeping through the night. Hopefully this wont be too painful.

GOOD NEWS!~ We also took him to his follow up cardiologist appt and he is fully cleared! He says he has a perfect heart!!!

First few days with Grammy D and Poppi

Liam loving his pool
sandy piggy toes
Miss. Crab
Mr. Crab
Grammy D's babies

Grammy D and Poppi are here from California and we have been having a blast. We went to the pool for the day Sunday and then out to dinner at the beach. Yesterday we all went to the beach and it was Liam's first time there. He seemed to have a good time especially in his little blow up pool. There was a little more sea weed than we would have preferred but it was a good time.....until the end. Yes...it was my fault that my pregnancy brain is still there! I misplaced the car keys and we spent at least an hour scraping the sand and unloading the car until Travis found them an the diaper bag. The boys went fishing last night and Wayne caught a King fish but Travis did not catch anything. Today we are off to the pool again and the boys are going to work on the golf cart!
