On all 4's and no picture!

Tonight Madison and I were eating dinner and Liam was on the floor in the living room. I looked over and he was on his knees and pushed up with his hands and lunged forward. I could not believe what I was seeing. Not only did he do it once but he started doing it back to back! Travis and I have been watching him the past few days and have been telling each other the old "It wont be long now" story but WOW.....isn't 6 months old (in a week) a little too early to crawl???

Baby proofing....here we come!

Weight Watchers update: week 4

Today was definitely a day that I did not want to go get weighed in. Was not my best week and I have been feeling bloated and only made it to the gym twice. After a long conversation with myself I got in the car and drove there.

Much to my surprise she started shaking the red plastic clappy hands that they do when you loose weight!

I lost 1.6 pounds for a total loss so far of 9 pound even! Yes...I was smiling as I left and of all days, I needed the boost for the day.

Liam's 6 month pics

Future Rams player
What a stud!
Too sweet!
Yesterday we went and got Liam's 6 month picture taken. I think they turned out pretty cute. I also wanted a good picture of the both of them but there were issues with Madi's smile in all the face shots. I am glad though because i love shots that are more candid like the one we picked. It is in a 12x13...that's why it looks like her head is cut off (the scanner is not big enough)!

The end of emptying the dishwasher as we know it!

Liam running over to get something out
"Mom, why did you take everything out of there"?

Today I realized I can not turn my back on the dishwasher anymore. Liam has become Mr. Speed Racer in the walker and has gotten so fast its sometimes hard to get out of the way. The back of my heels are killing me today. He sees what he wants and he off and running. Today he kept grabbing for things out of the dishwasher and manged to get a plastic bowl out while I was unloading it!

Overnight.....

Hair shot
Liam seems to have grown more hair! The shot up top is the best reflection of it. We may be able to do a spike in the back in a few weeks if it keeps up. When you look at him from the side and he has light behind him there is a long patch of wispies.
The next pic I added in because he is doing such a good job with sitting on his own! (Please ignore the drool and the pea spit up stains:))

Madison the barber

Bangs
and a quick trim around the face...

Rose: "What happened to Madison's hair"?
Me: "What are you talking about"?
Rose: "Part of her bangs are short"?
Me: "Holy cow Madi..when did you do that"?
Madison: "Promise you wont get mad if I tell you"?
Me: "You never get in trouble if you tell the truth" :))
Madison: "I wanted to get my hair trimmed so I did it in my room yesterday"
Me: CALMLY STATE "Next time you feel the urge to cut your own hair we can take you to the barber and get it cut like daddy...please don't do that again".
I figured it could be worse :)

The evolution of Liam's piggy toes

Madi and Liam's piggy's
O.K....I can admit it. I am a nut for Liam's feet. I cant get enough of them. I was the same way with Madison and am still in love with her two crooked toes. She even tells me all the time she will not let anything happen to them because she knows I love them so much! Crazy to look back 5 months ago to how "skinny" his feet were. Can feet be called skinny??? Now they are anything but "chunky" and kissable!!!!!

Today we made our first homemade baby food compliments of the all in one cooker from Grammy D and Poppi. It turned out great and was really easy. Madi and I made Halloween cupcakes and she passed them out up and down the street!

Gentleman...START---YOUR---ENGINES!!!!!

Liam's big boy milestones!

Hi everyone!!
THIS IS SO MUCH FUN!!!
Splashing
Did someone say bath time???

Liam has had several milestones this week. He has graduated from the sink to a big boy seat in the tub and also is now in a new car seat compliments of Grandpa. We did encounter one hurdle. I went to install the new car seat and found out it is not a rear facing one :) He meets the weight requirements of 21 pounds but not the age requirements. I had to have a talk with him about being as heavy as a 1 year old but he thinks its funny......We are off today to go exchange the one in the picture above for a rear facing one.

Weight Watchers update

I got weighed in today (sounds like I am part of a cattle heard) and I lost 4.8 pounds my first week! Just what I needed to motivate me to keep going!

Weekend fun

On the cat walk....
On the cat walk yeah.....
I do my little turn on the cat walk...etc etc etc
Liam did not like the show to be over
Learning to do the monkey bars
The girls

I love swinging!!!!
Higher Dada higher!!
Dada...I thought I said higher!
Yesterday we picked up Destiny Lee and headed to Wannado City. ME...yes me, forgot the camera at home :(
Lee Lee came back to our house for a sleep over and after having so much fun doing the fashion show at Wannado City they had their own here. Travis put on techno music (compliments of You Tube) and the girls went to town. This morning we went to the park for a while and let everyone burn off steam. Liam is loving the swing and Madison is trying really hard to master the monkey bars. No it was not cold by the looks of Madi's jacket ($3 at the consignment shop :)) but she is into a layering thing when she dresses herself. I tried to get a picture of Destiny Lee but she made it perfectly clear that she learned how to do that when she was a baby and she fell and was told not to do them again! Haa Haa.

He's on the move!

Hmmmm..I'll take that!
Peek-a-boo

Liam is on the move. He can now look across the room and see something and walk to it in the walker. he grabbed everything off the coffee table today in the den. I am having to take everything off the bottom half of the refrigerator because it keeps ending up on the floor. I may need to crawl around and see what is in his reach on his eye level :) I think we will need to go buy all the necessary things to "baby proof" the house (cabinets, drawers, outlets etc.)...no we have not yet done that. We also now have to buckle him in his bouncer even if its for a second. The picture above shows what happens when we don't. Mr. Squirmy wormy comes out to play!!!!

Its official....

I'M FAT!

Yes...that's right, admitting it is the first step...I think.

On top of joining the gym I went with Liam this morning and joined Weight Watchers.

Will not report on my starting weight but will update on the pounds lost.

Happy eating to all!

Liam's 5 month appt

Our big guy weighed in at 20lbs 15oz and was 28 inches long. They said if he was 1 we could switch him to forward facing already :) We do need to go ahead and get him a car seat that is the next step up. Developmentally he is right on target and then some. Due to his increase in spit ups and it becoming projectile we have been placed on a two week trial of Almentum (the expensive stuff). They want to see if the hypoallergenic formula helps. If not, we will be referred to a pediatric gastroenterologist for evaluation and possibly be put on a stronger medicine than Zantac. Weight gain is obviously not an issue :)
We also need to make an appt with a pediatric neurologist ONLY to confirm his doctors diagnosis of his recent tremors. He believes they are only myoclonic tremors and will grow out of them and should be nothing to worry about.

All in all a good visit but also one that is going to be EXPENSIVE!!!

Liam turms 5 months today

Crazy how fast the past 5 months have gone. He is getting so big and changing so fast. He can now sit up unassisted and can catch himself but sometimes still falls right on his face. he is eating all veggies and fruits. He however does not care too much for Green beans, peas or carrots. A couple of times when has been upset he has looked at me and said "mum mum", don't think he knows what he is saying but i say it to him all the time. He belly laughs and is smiles almost all day and yes folks...I think we have the sleep thing down. Don't want to jinks ourselves but he has been doing great!
